About SDTP
SDTP (SCDAP Development and Training Program) consists of more than 50 organizations in 27 countries supporting the development of technology, software, and training materials for the nuclear industry. The program was started in 1996. Initial members and contributors included the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI), Framatome-ANP (Erlangen, Germany), Computer Software Development Co (CSD-Japan), Comision Nactional De Seguridad Nuclear Y Salvaguardias (CNSNS-Mexico), Institute of Nuclear Safety System, Incorporated (INSS-Japan), Hitachi (Japan), Electric Power Development Co, (EPDC-Japan), and Innovative Systems Software (ISS).
The program members and licensed software users now include universities, research organizations, regulatory organizations, vendors, and utilities located in Europe, Asia, Latin American, and the United States. These members and licensed software users support the program through a combination of in-kind contribution, membership fee, and/or software licensing fees. ISS administers the program including the coordination of SDTP-related activities, the distribution of SDTP-developed software, and the coordination of technical support and training at the regional training centers. ISS is also responsible for the development of one of the SDTP-sponsored software packages, RELAP/SCDAPSIM.
